How Much Does It Cost for ASVTS?

The cost of ASVTS depends on how many positions are sent and the type of equipment that is being used. For most vessels the cost of ASVTS to send 8 position reports a day is no more than the cost of a Caffè Latte per day, approximately $3.00 per day or $75-$90 per month. Equipment costs depend on the type of unit and features desired (e-mail, voice comms, programmable or pre-set polling) and range from $500 to $3,000 per unit.
