Secure Vessel Tracking System™ is an "Open Architecture
System" allowing many different transponder systems’
signals to be received, processed and displayed by ASVTS™.
Vessels equipped with Global Maritime Distress and Safety System
(GMDSS) can use their installed Inmarsat equipment and be tracking
within a matter of hours after signing up for ASVTS™ service.
If you don’t have a satellite system aboard your vessel you
may choose one of many transponder systems available from Thrane
& Thrane Inmarsat C™, Thrane & Thrane Mini C™,Thrane
& Thrane D+™, Iridium™, Orbcomm™, Globalstar™,
and MSAT™ (Global Synergies). ASVTS can track most 2nd and
3rd generation
Imarsat-C equipment from Trimble, JRC, Sailor, SEA and Litton. Cost
